The Romans had a phrase for it, “a healthy mind in a healthy body”, and the Norwegians have a special word, “friluftsliv”, which is specifically about being active outdoors. This time of year in the Northern Hemisphere many of us are prone to feeling down. Inoculate yourself against the blues with a dose of endorphins from exercising out of doors. Seize what sunshine there is and get some “friluftsliv”.
