Of course the French have a word for it, this back to school season. It’s called “la rentrée” the return after summer. It’s a time of fresh starts, new books and schedules, resumed traffic patterns and congestion. It’s also a great time to plan ahead. This is the time to book a weekend away, get some theater tickets, plan a birthday for the later fall. Anticipating those fun activities will also help with any lingering “ennui” after the summer.
